"Hood" culture with samurai swords, yukatas and cel phone cyber-genetic antagonists named by numbers. I'm finding it really hard to place it into a context; if it's our own context then ours is just a bit too much of everything. What rampages our arts and entertainment industry is an army of directors/producers/screenwriters/artists with Japanese anime and manga running through their blood streams, ready to try just about anything. Did the global comic language ever anticipate numbering characters instead of giving them names?

This is post-kill bill written for a Western audience; for those who like Tarantino's blood gushing katana clean decapitations. Sometimes it sounds like it's trying too hard to be cool when they have cool working for them already. This could have been a little more reserved and simpler. It screams and reeks too much of the post-millenia clash of East and West culture.
